Labor am Meer was founded on the conviction that choosing the right materials is just as important as the composition that follows.

We want not only to offer perfumery raw materials, but to describe them clearly. That is why you'll find with us not just products, but detailed information intended to help you better understand a material's properties, character and possible uses.

If your country is not currently listed, please contact us before ordering. Provided the logistical and legal requirements are met, we are glad to look into an individual shipping option.

Shipping is exclusively via DHL with tracking. Every shipment receives an individual tracking number, so the shipping status can be followed online at any time.

Processing usually takes place within one to three business days after order confirmation. In individual cases, processing times may be slightly longer due to product availability or shipping volume.

Before shipping, every order is carefully checked. Among other things, we verify product selection, quantity, labeling, packaging and shipping suitability.

All products are packed securely for transport and additionally protected to reduce the risk of damage or leakage during transport as far as possible.

The actual delivery time depends on the destination country, local carriers, possible customs procedures and other circumstances beyond our control.

For deliveries outside the European Union, import duties, import VAT, customs fees or other legally required charges of the respective destination country may apply.

These costs are included neither in the product price nor in the shipping cost. They may be calculated only after the shipment arrives in the destination country, by the responsible authorities, and are payable by the recipient.

Exception USA: For shipments to the United States we handle customs clearance entirely in advance – details in the following section on US shipping.

Shipping to the USA

Shipments to the USA (incl. Puerto Rico) are sent with DHL Premium International – fully tracked, with priority handling and short transit times.

For the USA we use the DDP service (Delivered Duty Paid): all US import duties and charges are already factored into the checkout and paid by us in advance. On delivery, no additional customs or duty charges apply to you – the amount shown during checkout is the final price.

All customs data – the 10-digit US tariff code (HTSUS), a precise product description and the country of origin per item – is transmitted fully and correctly for every US shipment to ensure smooth and swift importation.

Information about our products

Labor am Meer offers aroma molecules, perfumery raw materials, fragrance bases, solvents and other materials for developing your own fragrance compositions.

Our products are aimed at people who work with perfumery raw materials, want to learn about their properties, or wish to develop their own fragrance ideas – from the first experiment to professional use.

The products offered are not ready-to-use cosmetic products and are not intended for immediate use as finished consumer products.

Product documentation and information

Technical, regulatory and product-related documentation (including SDS, TDS, COA, IFRA and further documents where applicable) is provided exclusively to business customers within the framework of a B2B collaboration and upon request.

Sales to private customers are made exclusively for informational, educational, research and experimental purposes. The provision of extensive technical, commercial or production-related documentation generally takes place within the framework of a B2B collaboration.

By completing an order, the buyer confirms that they understand the nature of the purchased products, have sufficient knowledge of their intended use, and independently assume responsibility for further use.

The company reserves the right not to provide additional technical information, commercial specifications, production notes or other documentation outside a B2B collaboration.

Safety and liability

The buyer assumes responsibility for the proper use of the purchased materials.

The company accepts no liability for the consequences of improper storage, dilution, mixing, labeling, further processing, transport or use of the products outside their intended purpose.

Please observe the following basic precautions:

  • Do not apply materials undiluted to the skin

  • Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes

  • Store cool, dry and protected from light

  • Keep out of reach of children and pets

Right to refuse orders

The company reserves the right, in individual cases, to refuse, limit, request additional information for, or cancel orders before shipping, without having to disclose internal decision-making reasons.

This applies in particular where there are indications of:

  • potentially improper or unsafe use of the products

  • intended commercial use, resale or industrial application outside agreed B2B terms

  • repeated misuse, unfounded complaints or violations of the terms and conditions

  • incomplete, contradictory or doubtful information in connection with an order

  • other circumstances that, in the company's assessment, could constitute commercial, legal, logistical or reputational risks

The company also reserves the right to limit quantities, shipping options, product availability and certain services.

In the event of cancellation before shipping, payments already made are refunded in full.

Returns and opened products

Due to the nature of the products offered, the quality requirements, and the impossibility of verifying storage conditions after receipt, opened, damaged or unsealed products are excluded from return and exchange.

A return is possible only for unused goods in unopened original packaging and within the framework of the applicable statutory provisions of Germany.

The right of withdrawal may be limited pursuant to Section 312g(2) No. 3 of the German Civil Code (BGB) if sealed products have been opened after delivery and cannot be returned for reasons of health, safety or hygiene protection.
