Amberfleur – Woody-Amber Molecule (ISO E Super-type)
Amberfleur is a synthetic woody-amber molecule of the ISO E Super type (CAS 54464-57-2) – the same molecular class as the well-known ISO E Super, offered in our range as an alternative. The character: velvety, dry-woody and warm-ambered, with the diffusion that makes this material one of the most widely used building blocks of modern perfumery.

Role in the formula
Amberfleur acts less as a single note, more as an added dimension. At low dosages barely perceptible – and yet it lends the composition volume, projection and tenacity (the famous halo effect). At higher concentrations it builds a dry, velvety-woody signature. It works both as a fixative and as a character-defining element in its own right.
Use in perfumery
Amberfleur is suited to woody and cedar-amber accords, to enhancing diffusion, projection and tenacity, for woody-ambered bases and skin-scent effects – in fine fragrance as well as in functional applications (body care, soaps). The usage range spans from traces (as an invisible enhancer) to high concentrations (as a pronounced woody signature).
Practical note: dissolving, storing, combining
Dissolving: Soluble in ethanol and common perfumery solvents, practically insoluble in water.
Storing: Store cool, dry and protected from light, keep containers tightly closed. For color and odor stability, the material contains BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene, ≤0.05%).
Combining: Proven in combination with cedarwood, amber and musk materials; smooths and reinforces almost any accord without covering it.
Safety information
Amberfleur (CAS 54464-57-2) is classified under CLP Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 as: Skin Irrit. 2, H315 (causes skin irritation), Skin Sens. 1, H317 (may cause an allergic skin reaction) and Aquatic Chronic 1, H410 (very toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects). Do not allow to enter waterways or drains.
The flash point is above 100 °C. Under IFRA, this material has a Restricted status with application-dependent maximum concentrations – please check the current IFRA Standard before use in commercial products. Usual precautions for handling concentrated aroma materials apply: protective gloves and eye protection when working with the material open.
