Collection: Gourmand Fragrance Materials

Gourmand materials provide sweet, creamy and warm notes: vanilla, cocoa, tonka, almond, milk and rum.

Vanilla and cocoa

• Isobutavan (Givaudan) – creamy vanilla sweetness without browning in soap and light-coloured cosmetics, with a hint of white chocolate.
• Vanillin PG Acetal N°830 (Bedoukian) – sweet vanilla with powdery and cocoa facets, low discoloration.
• CHOCOVAN™ AB 7244C (Givaudan) – ready-made base of cocoa powder and vanilla, with mild sweetness.

Tonka and almond

• Coumarone (Symrise) – the “tonka ketone”: balsamic, powdery, with orange blossom and heliotrope. Not coumarin.
• Benzaldehyde DD (Symrise) – bitter almond, cherry, marzipan; top note.

Milky and rum notes

• Methyl Laitone 10% in DPG (Givaudan) – coconut milk, lactonic creaminess.
• Rum Acetal (Givaudan) – fresh, ethereal rum edge, highly volatile, for the top note.
